27-35. The child of two Victors, who could be Wiress and Beetee. You were the heir to genius, but no one could deny you surpassed both of your parents. Your father held this against you, especially as you were able to do more than just create electricity and technological marvels. You were able to save lives.

It first started with your fully-functional prosthetic heart, then you developed 3-D organ printing, and then you discovered all the many minutiae of machine code and the technique needed to connect the synthesized blood vessels and nerves to the real ones. You’ve saved the life of the President more times than you will ever know. You’ve kept your pockets lined with more secrets than one could count, given how many lies you’ve saved with your deft hands. Many were shocked when you were Reaped, and there is even live footage of the President gasping at your name being called, courtesy of Caesar Flickerman (another life you’ve elongated past its expiration date). You bowed and smiled gracefully as you took the stage. This is a horror your parents had tried to save you from, had thought they had. You were a prodigy at the age of 16, already doing the work necessary to keep your neck out of the guillotine. But President Snow or any of the other government officials whose Deaths you’ve helped them escape can’t ignore the advantage your own would provide. It is no secret that you’ve kept your own parents alive using a similar technique, having to sell Capitol secrets to afford the very technology you’ve invented. Suffice to say, the Capitol has seen an opportunity to be rid of a rat.

QUICK FACTS:

• The child of two Victors who married and were known for their respective intellectual talents. One of them passed away when you were an adolescent due to a type of cancer your technology can now curse. Your remaining parent is elderly, and you have kept them alive with the procedures you’ve invented.
• A genius from a young age. You were done with Secondary Education (i.e. undergraduate) at the age of 16. By the time you were 20, you and a team of researchers had developed the first 3-D organ printer.
• You became both a Biotech Scientist and a Surgeon, with the secondary career earning you many lined pockets. You developed the proper procedures for synthesized organs, and through this, you saved many lives within the Capitol. You are directly responsible for President Snow still being alive, and you have essentially kept his body from leaking into disrepair by replacing organ after organ.
• With the other lives you’ve saved, you’ve earned many secrets that the Rebels find helpful. You’ve sold these secrets to others, from high-ranking Peacekeepers to fellow Capitol clients, in order to get the very technology, surgical tools, sterilized areas, etc. you need in order to keep your remaining parent alive.
• Ironically, you have never even considered the thought of Rebelling until the Reaping. When THE AUTEUR asks you to help with the Rebellion, you are unsettled and even a bit offended, but you see President Snow’s fake gasp at your Reaping on a screen, replayed for Capitol enjoyment. You believe you are responsible for his continued reign and the country’s continued subservience. You were a life-giver, and you decide to bring Death.

CONNECTIONS.

THE AUTEUR — The mastermind behind the Rebel plot who convinces you to join alongside them. You were mildly familiar with one another, given you are often in charge of nursing the Victors back to tip-top form, and they are a Gamemaker. However, you have not fully looked at them, seen them for the tenacious spirit they are, until the Games.

THE BERSERKER — After they won their Games, you performed one of the first prothesis surgeries with your 3D technology on them. You tended to their wounds post-op, and as such, you have built a strange and endearing friendship. They were slow to accept your help or the shoulder you lent them, and there was some element of yourself that entered this relationship begrudgingly.

THE STAR — Similar to THE BERSERKER, you met THE STAR via your employment. Perhaps you were once lovers or simply close friends, but however it went down, you now owe them a debt. They knew, prior to your Reaping, that you were guilty of the crimes you committed to keep your parent alive. There is a part of you that suspects they are to blame, but you cannot tell. Their guilt was once something readable to you, especially as while you both deal in debts owed and secrets kept, you used to not hold any between each other.
